MAI (pronounced "my") is a must have software agent that allows email attachments to be easily and efficiently viewed on virtually any connected device include most web-enabled mobile phones and PDAs. MAI works for you, converting virtually all your email attachments to a format that is optimized to your device for instant and easy access.

MAI will scan your attachments for viruses. MAI will translate and reformat files within files (like graphs in powerpoint presentations). MAI knows how to unpack MIME files and decompress ZIP files. Don’t settle for stripped down text, MAI delivers the entire document including charts and pictures! MAI is compatible with the specialized requirement of international systems. 

MAI resides in the data center near your email server. There are no software applications or plug-ins required for the client device, allowing the user to go anywhere and access email quickly and comprehensively! Use a myriad of devices from the most state-of-the-art PC to a digital set-top box, PDA, or web-enabled mobile phone, and MAI will have your documents ready and waiting. MAI is intelligent and knows to reformat your documents based on the specifications of your browser.

MAI is based on open standards. MAI works with popular internet and personal computing de-facto standards. Openshark has authored an open API (application programming interface) that allows the addition of 3rd party agents and translators to further extend the capabilities of MAI Messaging Agent.

MAI is open ended. Enhancement products include the Japanese Localization Kit, Mobile Localization Kit and Advanced Graphics Module. Additional enhancement products are continually being developed by Openshark and third-party providers.
