SANYO ELECTRIC AND OPENSHARK SIGN DEVELOPMENT AND LICENSING AGREEMENTS

Agreements cover support for three Japanese cell phone standards and licensing

San Jose, Calif.  — Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd and Openshark, Inc have signed two agreements covering Openshark’s file and email attachment conversion software. Openshark’s software is an enterprise application platform that processes e-mail attachments and files for viewing on a wide range of connected mobile and consumer devices with Internet browser capability.

Development Agreement

The development agreement calls for Openshark to create modules for its enterprise application platform software to support Japanese standards. Sanyo will use the software to support various business applications in Japan. The companies are sharing the developed modules as part of their agreement.

Licensing Agreement

A licensing agreement has also been signed between Sanyo and Openshark. This agreement outlines the business arrangement for Sanyo’s use of the software in support of its Air Storage business.
